Privacy Notes

Bidet AI is still a builder-preview product. These notes describe what the current surfaces do so testers know what they are choosing.

Public Web Demo

The public demo does not require a login or Bidet AI account. Bidet AI does not provide saved history for the public demo. When you press Clean with hosted cleanup, the draft text you submit is sent to the hosted cleanup endpoint and its configured AI provider for that request.

Private BYOK Web App

The private web app is designed for bring-your-own-key use. Gemini BYOK is the default lane. If you choose to remember your key, it is stored in this browser's localStorage. If you do not choose remember, the key stays in the page for the current browser session. Hosted cleanup is optional if you switch lanes.

Windows Desktop Beta

The Windows desktop beta runs as local software on your machine. Dictation history and approved learning examples are local to your computer. Provider keys are stored through Windows Credential Manager; legacy plaintext keys are not used if they cannot be migrated into secure storage.

Android Preview

The Android app is a signed sideload preview for trusted testers. It is not a Play Store release. The app uses microphone access for speech input and an Accessibility service for supported text insertion workflows. Broader Android distribution waits on more install testing, clearer support docs, and the Play Store privacy path.
